brighten up your A/W with jewellerybox

How is it autumn already?! The days have shortened and become chilly so quickly. The leaves are falling from the trees outside and are now golden and brown. The countdown is on to Halloween, then Christmas will be right around the corner!

The change between the seasons is such a special time of year. There’s something exciting about getting your woolly jumpers out of storage to wear by the warmth of a toasty open fireplace. My only “problem” with the transition from warm to cold, is where does all the colour go?

As I look out the window at the grey clouded skies, daydreaming about upcoming trips to brighter, warmer destinations, I got to thinking about colourful pieces of jewellery to bring some life back into my autumn/ winter wardrobe, and make my outfits pop.

Here at jewellerybox, we have some great bits to inject some colour back into your autumnal outfits, and you don’t need to spend a lot to bring your wardrobe to life. I’m obsessed with this cute rose gold dipped sterling silver & blue enamel dreamcatcher bracelet. I like the sentiment behind the dreamcatcher, the idea that they are used to trap bad dreams, leaving you only with the good ones. Not only will it give you feel good vibes, but as it’s so delicate  you can wear it from day to night. Wear it like I have on its own, or alongside your other bracelets. The tiny bit of blue will add that touch of colour that you are after.

I love a little bit of sparkle, who doesn’t?! It always makes you feel so glam. As we head into autumn/winter, rose gold remains on trend. I used to be so rigid about accessorising, and only ever wanted to wear all silver or all gold, but rose gold is the perfect bridge between them, it’s fun to mix and match. Be bold and mix your yellow gold, rose gold and silver to create a rainbow of contrast. The rose gold in this gold dipped sterling silver and crystal hexagon ring adds a touch of warmth to darker fabrics bringing them to life. This ring looks great as a standalone piece, or stack it with your other favourite jewellerybox rings.

Geometric fine jewellery designs continue to be the popular right now. The modern style is quite apt for a city girl like me, as the structured design compliments the urban landscape around us, making it the perfect styled accessory. How cute is the pop of colour on this sterling silver Bauhaus design necklace?! The primary colours just get me in a good mood. It’s perfect for wearing to brunch with your mates or to the cinema on a chill weekend.

For a touch of sophistication, perfect for any special occasion, how about these sterling silver freshwater pearl drop earrings? Coloured pearls are a little more unusual than white pearls, making them all the more special. Make a memorable statement whilst being ever so chic, and wear these stylish earrings on your next date night, or to the next wedding you’re a guest at.

For a bit of fun, I think these sterling silver rainbow and star stud earrings are just adorable. They remind me of the effortlessly cool girls down by Venice Beach in California. They are perfect to wear with Mom jeans, oversized sweaters and trainers, to create the perfect low-key weekend look.

The days may be getting shorter, and the air getting cooler, but it doesn’t all have to be drab and grey. Look for accents of colour in your jewellery to brighten up your A/W outfits. We have a great selection of affordable, on-trend, colourful pieces to bring your wardrobe to life as the seasons change.
