perfect ways to spend a summers evening

After a day spent in the warm sunshine, there’s nothing better than having a nice, relaxed evening. But sometimes, it’s a little difficult to know how to occupy yourself, and so I thought I would share some of my favourite ways to whistle away a summer’s evening.

Listening to Music 🎶

This is a particular favourite activity of mine, especially when there are certain albums that are perfect to chill out to on a sunny evening. Music can make you feel all sorts of things, and so for me, there is nothing better than popping a record on my turntable and relaxing. An album that I particularly love listening to on a summer’s evening happens to be ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory’ by Oasis – not only does this album contain classic hits such as ‘’Wonderwall’ and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’, but it also features songs such as ‘Some Might Say’ and ‘She’s Electric’ which are sure to put you in a good mood.

Getting Creative 🖌

Doing something a bit creative is always a good way to spend some time, and for me, I particularly love recording my memories in a scrapbook. It’s always lovely to get out and take some photos in the beautiful sunshine, and what better to way to spend an evening than finding a way of storing those pictures! My scrapbook contains pages about trips away, days out, and even concerts that I have attended – by recording of all my different adventures in such a way, it lets me be as creative as I want, and I also love including collage and magazine cut-outs to pages to make them look even more colourful.

Reading 📚

Reading is definitely a great way to spend a summer’s evening, as after a long day, getting immersed in a good book always helps me to relax. Earlier this year, I set myself the challenge of reading more books, and so I have amassed quite a reading list over the past few months. Therefore, I find something really quite rewarding in sitting down of an evening and having a read of book, whether it be fiction or non-fiction. If you struggle to switch off in the evenings, reading is such a great thing to do.

What’s more, the jewellery items on jewellerybox are perfect for accessorising with for these activities. I always feel rather bare without any rings on my fingers, and bracelets on my wrists, and so these pieces add a little something extra to my look, whichever way I happen to be spending my summer’s evening! My absolute jewellerybox favourites at the moment are the sterling silver adjustable leaves bracelet, and the sterling silver 2mm twisted pattern stacking ring. They’re both dainty pieces, but still make a statement.
