Our Story

jewellerybox began in 2014 as a way to bring online jewellery up to date: from the stuffy, traditional and expensive to giving customers true value from real gold and sterling silver pieces.

We dreamed of things being less high street and more high tech - we didn't want to be 'just another' anything. It took us time to figure out what that meant for us, but our focus on technology and efficiency is partly what allows us to offer such great value to our customers.

  • Authenticity

    Authenticity is really important to us - good value can do that to a brand. Customers ask things like 'how can it be real gold at that price?'. Being an assay-assured jeweller is part of this - a traditional and longstanding way of scientifically testing our jewellery to prove it is what we say it is. This is done for us by the edinburgh assay office, who've been around for the last 564 years or so. We have also earned trust with our thousands of customers in the last 9 years - check out our trustpilot and google reviews.

  • Personalisation

    Helping our customers to create pieces that are truly unique and personal to them is something we're very passionate about. That's why we offer a range of personalised items which can be engraved with a message of your choice. Simply choose your item from our personalised jewellery collection, tell us what you'd like engraved and our jewellers will carefully engrave your chosen message before dispatch.

  • Environmentally Conscious

    Here at jewellerybox, we are constantly trying to find new ways that we can reduce our environmental and social impact. Not only do we use recyclable packaging, but over 60% of our products are made from recycled metals. This is a number that we are proud of, however we know that we can do better and therefore we are working hard to keep that number growing over 2024.

Customer Service

We know lots of companies shout about their customer service, but for us, we really take it personally - after all, it has been the key to our success.

What makes us different? If you phone jewellerybox, you're speaking to us - not a call centre, not an outsourced company, but someone who's sat at a desk in our warehouse. By taking a short walk, they can check stock or talk to our jeweller. They know our products because they see them every day. This too, is part of our commitment to authenticity.

Where next?

Over time, our priorities have changed a little - we still strive to be great value, offer the latest designs and a huge choice. But we're also trying to give something back. Our focus more recently has been on our impact: recycled metals, recycled and recyclable packaging, waste reduction, working conditions of our suppliers and helping our own staff to thrive - both in work and outside of it.
