Lockets - Your Questions Answered

What styles of locket do you sell? +

We stock a wide range including heart lockets, oval lockets, plain lockets, crystal & diamond lockets, family lockets and floating charm lockets. Most are available in a choice of sterling silver or 9ct gold, with a choice of chain lengths to suit how you like to wear yours.

How many photos can a locket hold? +

It depends on the style. Our traditional lockets hold two photos — one on each side when you open them. Our family lockets can hold up to six photos, which makes them perfect for fitting in all your favourites. Each product page tells you exactly how many photos that particular locket holds and the size you'll need to cut them to.

How do I put photos in my locket? +

Print your photo to fit the locket opening — you can use a home printer or a photo printing service. Cut it out carefully, then either slot it into the frame inside the locket or use a tiny dot of glue to hold it in place. A good tip is to cut a template from paper first so you get the size right before trimming your actual photo.

Can I get my locket engraved? +

Many of our lockets can be engraved — look for the 'Add Personalisation' button on the product page. Some have space for a full message on the front or back, while others are better suited to initials or a short date. All engraving is done in-house at our London studio using our laser engraving machines. Browse our full engravable lockets collection to see all the engravable options.

What does Sterling Silver mean? +

Sterling silver is 92.5% silver - it is arguably the best composition of silver for jewellery making because it is a lot more durable and harder than pure silver, which is a very soft metal.

You may see .925 mentioned or stamped on some pieces, this refers to the 92.5% silver in the item.

The remaining 7.5% is usually made up of copper, zinc and other metals.

What does Recycled Metal mean? +

When we say our items are made from Recycled metal, this is metal (Sterling Silver and 9ct Gold) that has been melted down and made into our products. The products themselves have not been worn and are all brand new.

This is more environmentally friendly than mining for new metal and reduces the amount of labour involved in creating our jewellery Not all our products are made from recycled metal yet, but most are. We are working towards increasing this number

Can I return items to you if they don't fit or I don't like them? +

Of course, we offer 30 days returns on all our products, with the only exception being personalised or engraved items.

As these are custom and we're unable to sell them after they've been customised, we cannot accept returns of personalised or engraved items unless they are proved to be faulty
