9ct Gold Claddagh Earrings Set

A traditional Irish design, symbolising love, loyalty and friendship; the Claddagh originated from a small fishing village in Galway and is now recognisable the world over. The design features two hands wrapped around a heart, along with a crown. The crown represents loyalty, the heart is love (of course!) and the two hands signify friendship. Claddagh is a small village near Galway city and this design almost certainly came from near this area. The name Claddagh comes from the Irish An Cladach, meaning 'stoney shore'.
