Exactly what I needed
"One of my ears started reacting to earrings so I stopped wearing earrings altogether, so much so that the affected piercing had all but closed up. I looked for a pair in 14 carat gold to confirm if it had been an allergic reaction that was causing my problems (it seemed strange that it was only affecting one ear). I suppose it was a bit of a gamble as there may have been some other explanation, so I bought the cheapest sleepers I could find which were these. The good news is it seems to have done the trick! My ear has not reacted and being able to sleep with these in has given the piercing the best chance of settling down. I had to have help getting these earrings in so I’m worried that once I take them out to try other earrings I won’t be able to get them back in. If it turns out I can only wear 14 carat gold, I’ll just have to invest in a more expensive pair that are easier to put in. In case helpful, I bought the 10mm ones. They fit fine but as mentioned were fiddly to get in so you’ll need help fastening them."
